Youth Readiness is a free learning platform from the Simplifico Foundation. It brings the best free teaching on the internet into clear, step-by-step paths, and asks you to prove your progress as you go.
Why we built it
Millions of young South Africans want to work and are willing to learn. Good teaching is already free online, but it is scattered, hard to judge and easy to give up on. We curate it into paths that start at zero, explain the South African route into each career, and build in accountability without charging a cent.
How it works
- Every skill has three stages: Foundations, Core skills and Applied practice.
- Lessons are free videos from trusted educators, played on this site.
- Each stage ends with a practical task. You describe what you did to unlock the next stage.
- Your learning record lists everything you completed, so you can show employers.
What we promise
- Learners never pay, for anything.
- We do not ask for your ID number, race, or any personal details to learn.
- We tell you honestly when a career needs formal study and registration, and how to get there.
Who is behind it
The Simplifico Foundation is the community arm of Simplifico (Pty) Ltd, a Centurion-based company. Simplifico sets aside 10% of its profits for the Foundation's work. Read about the Foundation.
