Official and trusted places to find work
Learnerships are also advertised by each SETA (sector education and training authority). Search for the SETA in the sector you want, for example MICT SETA for technology or merSETA for manufacturing.
These are independent organisations. We do not run them, and listing them is not an endorsement of any specific advert. Real employers never ask you to pay. Links chosen October 2026; tell us if one stops working.
Six signs a job offer is a scam
- They ask you to pay anything: a registration, training, uniform or "admin" fee.
- They want your ID number, bank details or PIN before a proper interview and written offer.
- You are offered the job without an interview, or the pay is far too high for the work.
- They only use WhatsApp or a personal Gmail address, with no company website or landline.
- They pressure you: "only 3 spots left", "reply in the next hour".
- The "job" is recruiting other people or selling a starter pack (pyramid scheme).
If you have been scammed
Stop all contact and do not pay anything more. Report it at your nearest police station, or call SAPS Crime Stop on 08600 10111. If you shared bank details, call your bank's fraud line immediately. Warn friends by sharing the advert with the Scam Checker.
