Pharmacists make sure people get the right medicine safely. They work in community pharmacies, hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry. You need a four-year BPharm and registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC). Pharmacist assistants are a shorter route in.

Study a BPharm and register with the SAPC, or train as a pharmacist's assistant (basic and post-basic) through an SAPC-accredited provider, often as a learnership.
